Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II for a part-time role at Swedish Hospital in Chicago. The position runs Monday–Friday, 11am–7:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays, totaling 16 hours per week.

You will provide customer support as a liaison between the laboratory and providers, process and track specimens, and record information in the LIS. You’ll maintain records, assist with inventory, and ensure HIPAA and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year phlebotomy or laboratory experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support as a liaison between laboratory and providers.
• Specimen processing and handling according to established guidelines, protocol and procedures.
• Record and document specimen information in Laboratory Information System.
• Prepare and track specimen for transport to reference laboratories.
• Maintain organized records, andHIPAA compliant.
• Maintain and clean laboratory equipment.
• Assist with inventory control and supply ordering.
• Adhere to all safety protocol and infection control measures, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP.

What You Will Do
