Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection, participate in pre-analytic processing, and assist with clerical tasks in the laboratory setting at IU Health Jay, Blackford, and Upland facilities. Occasional travel to Muncie may be required. Requires a HS diploma or GED; phlebotomy training is preferred.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• May serve on committees or projects within the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation and pre-analytic processing.
• Perform related clerical tasks and may handle patient/specimen registration and delivery of specimens.
