Indiana University Health in Indiana is seeking a phlebotomy technician to support the Jay, Blackford, and Upland facilities, with occasional travel to Muncie. The role involves specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, and pre-analytic processing, along with related clerical tasks.

Shift is Day - PRN. Requires a high school diploma or GED; completion of a phlebotomy program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS grad or GED.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program preferred.
• May require a valid Indiana Driver's license and good driving history.
• May require understanding of traffic laws in Indiana.
• Requires working knowledge of computers.
• Requires telephone skills.
• Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
• Requires ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.

Responsabilités

• Provides general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, and pre-analytic processing.
• Performs related clerical tasks and may assist with patient and specimen registration.
• May participate in committee or project work contributing to the department's purpose.
