Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking a qualified Phlebotomy Technician to join the laboratory team on the night shift. Responsibilities include specimen procurement, accessioning, processing, and testing under the supervision of a Licensed CLS.

The role requires accurate data entry and adherence to lab procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting. Preferred candidates hold California Phlebotomy Certification and have experience with venipuncture, skin puncture, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Current California Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Experience obtaining blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Experience with computer data entry.

Required Experience

Required:

• Current California Phlebotomy Certification meeting California Business and Profession Codes

• Two years phlebotomist or laboratory assistant with phlebotomy duties in an acute care hospital.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
