Job summary

Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II for a per diem role with 8-hour, variable shifts. Under supervision, you will perform a wide range of lab duties including specimen collection, processing, data entry, and training new staff.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, California Phlebotomy Technician I or II licensure at hire, and at least 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License Or
• Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License
• 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, demonstrating excellence over time.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection and processing.
• Enter data accurately.
• Provide new employee orientation and training.
• Support special projects and general lab duties.

Job description

Laboratory Assistant at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts.

Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and the Laboratory Manager, the Lab Assistant II performs a wide variety of duties in the lab including, but not limited to, specimen collection, specimen processing, data entry, new employee orientation and training, special projects, and general duties.
