Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our Pittston, PA team.

This full-time role supports essential lab tasks, sample handling, and project preparation in a compliant, quality-focused environment. Responsibilities include assisting with setup and maintenance of lab equipment, shipping and labeling samples, measuring liquids, and performing administrative support to keep testing projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

Responsabilités

• Perform essential lab tasks to support testing projects per quality guidelines.
• Set up and maintain lab, equipment; clean/sterilize glassware.
• Ship, receive, label, log and store test samples.
• Measure liquids and other substances for test prep.
• Prepare media and samples.
• Follow established procedures and protocols.
• Support quality and safety programs.
• Handle administrative tasks (filing, scanning, emailing).
• Other duties as needed.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $21.00 Hourly

Essential Functions:

• Execute a variety of non-technical but essential laboratory tasks necessary to complete testing projects in accordance with quality guidelines and assigned turnaround times
• Assist with the set-up and maintenance of the laboratory, instrumentation and equipment (i.e., cleans and sterilizes glassware)
• Assist with the shipping, receiving, labeling, logging, tracking and storage of test samples
• Ability to measure quantities of liquids and other substances for test preparation purposes
• Assist with media and/or sample preparation
• Follows all established procedures and protocols
• Supports the quality and safety programs
• Administrative functions such as filing paperwork, photocopying, scanning, emailing, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
