Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is hiring a Laboratory Assistant for a full-time position in Arcata, California. You will perform essential lab tasks, assist with setup and maintenance of equipment, and help handle test samples to support timely project completion.

Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of non-technical but essential laboratory tasks to complete testing projects.
• Assist with set-up and maintenance of the laboratory, instrumentation and equipment (cleans and sterilizes glassware).
• Assist with shipping, receiving, labeling, logging, tracking and storage of test samples.
• Measure quantities of liquids and other substances for test preparation purposes.
• Assist with media and/or sample preparation.
• Follow all established procedures and protocols.
• Support the quality and safety programs.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, emailing, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
