Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon seeks a Laboratory Assistant to handle specimen processing and intake, ensuring accurate and timely support for patient diagnostics.

You will perform venous and capillary punctures, execute CLIA-waived testing under supervision, maintain inventory and records, and assist with routine lab operations to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS/ACLS (AHA BLS) within 90 days.
• Lab Assistant/Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Six months acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, organize, and quickly move samples for testing; handle all lab send-out testing including packaging.
• Perform venous and capillary punctures on all age groups, following collection procedures.
• Perform CLIA waived and moderately complex testing, evaluating results under direction.
• Perform routine maintenance, monitor inventory, stock supplies, and manage records.

Pay Range

$19.25 - $26.95 /hour
