Altasciences in Everett, WA is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to support Anatomic Pathology operations in a fast-paced lab environment. You will help prepare tissues, manage reagents, and maintain clean facilities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for undergraduate biology coursework. You’ll work with necropsy prep, tissue processing, staining, and equipment maintenance in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Undergraduate work in Biology or related sciences preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, SOPs and study documents.
• Ability to speak effectively and understand instructions.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly laboratory environment.
• Assist with necropsy and trimming preparation.
• Perform fixed tissue trimming.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Order warehouse supplies and enter data into inventory records.
• Document and label laboratory reagents accurately.
• Perform paraffin tissue processing and routine H&E staining and coverslipping.
• Document and review data in compliance with GLP regulations.
• Assist staff with study-related procedures.

## Laboratory AssistantApply: Everett, Washington: Full time: Posted Today: R103269**About The Role**Supports the Anatomic Pathology personnel in conducting daily processes, assists staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, and overall care in the laboratory environment.**What You’ll Do Here*** Maintains a safe, clean and orderly laboratory environment.* Assists with necropsy and trimming preparation.* Performs fixed tissue trimming.* Operates and maintains equipment.* Ordering of warehouse supplies and data entry to laboratory inventory records.* Ensures proper documentation and labeling of laboratory reagents.* Disposition of hazardous chemical, generation of the hazardous chemical lab pack and data entry to the laboratory hazardous chemical records Performs paraffin tissue processing.* Performs routine hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and coverslipping of microscopic slides.* Documentation and data review practices in compliance with GLP regulations.* Assists staff with study-related procedures. **What You’ll Need to Succeed*** High school diploma or GED required; undergraduate work in Biology or related sciences preferred.* Language(s) Skills: + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, study documents and standard operation procedures. + Ability to speak effectively and understand instructions and correspondence of the organization.* Other Requirements: + Additional skills required includes, but not limited to: general reading, writing and verbal communication skills. **What We Offer**The hourly range estimated for this position is $20 - $25/hour.
