Responsibilities

If labeling discrepancies are noticed, contact the clinic for verification before processing.* Fill out RL6 for any discrepancies.* Process cytology specimens for cytotechnologists to screen.* Triage slides to proper locations - utilize packing lists when necessary* Monitor faxes and send slides/blocks to outside facilities as requested.* File blocks and slides.* Processor and Stainer maintenance.* Complete daily maintenance charts and report any defects or malfunctions to lab management.* Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
