This role involves actively engaging in daily laboratory operations, supporting critical testing through sample preparation, analytical testing, and accurate documentation within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You’ll work hands‑on with laboratory instrumentation, contribute to quality and compliance initiatives, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑organized laboratory environment.

Schedule: 2nd shift Monday‑Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM EST with a monthly Sunday rotation. Full‑time, onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation in accordance with approved methods, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Accurately document results within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or other designated systems.
• Maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and support the quality management system by participating in audits, corrective actions, and ongoing process improvements.
• Assist with general housekeeping, inventory management, and cross‑training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Science or related area strongly preferred.
• Proven experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment (e.g., restaurant, line work, warehouse, or production setting).
• Previous hands‑on experience in a professional or academic lab setting is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Work Schedule & Travel

• Full‑time, onsite position following 2nd shift schedule Monday‑Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM EST.
• Ability to temporarily work 1st shift schedule (8 AM–4:30 PM EST) for the first 90‑day training period prior to transitioning to 2nd shift.
• Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including monthly Sunday rotation and holiday rotation.
