Job summary

ALS is seeking an Analyst to analyze samples using manual and advanced instrumental techniques, following prescribed methods. You will interpret results, perform QC, and maintain meticulous records while troubleshooting instrument issues and upholding safety in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires a B.S. in a related science, GC/MS experience, and 1–5 years of analytical laboratory work. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related science is preferred.
  • GC/MS experience strongly preferred.
  • 1–5 years of analytical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze samples using manual and advanced instrumental techniques per SOPs.
  • Interpret and review results; peer review data.
  • Perform quality control and maintain records.
  • Record observations in bound and electronic notebooks.
  • Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and ensure safe working conditions.
