Job summary

MP Materials seeks a Laboratory Analyst 1 to support the Analytical Lab by performing analyses and ensuring accurate results for routine and non-routine samples. Expect shifts on a 12-hour schedule with potential changes based on operations.

The role requires a science degree, familiarity with analytical instrumentation, and a commitment to safety. Training will cover the full suite of equipment and procedures necessary to deliver timely analytical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science; chemistry preferred.
• Familiarity with computers and database software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analyses on a wide variety of samples from operations.
• Review analytical results and QC data for quality, and report anomalies to the Analytical Laboratory Supervisor.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining chemical reagent inventory.
• Ensure safety procedures and healthy work practices are followed.
