Job summary

Kelly Science & Clinical in Lodi, CA is seeking a Laboratory Analyst for a 12-month contract to support GMP‑manufactured diagnostics labs. The role suits recent Life Science graduates or those with GMP experience, offering hands‑on exposure in a fast‑paced production environment.

You will perform formulation testing, quality checks (pH, density, conductivity, UV), and assist with equipment like lyophilizers, beadulators, and sieving processes while maintaining cGDP and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

  • BS in Life Sciences or related field with 0–1 year experience OR 1–2 years with AA/Trade degree or 2–4 years with a HS Diploma.
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing settings and understanding of GLP and ISO standards.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and communicate clearly in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

  • Execute bulk buffer formulation, aliquoting, and labeling of reagents.
  • Operate bead dropping, sieving, and lyophilizers in production labs.
  • Perform QC checks including pH, density, conductivity, and UV spectrophotometry.
  • Maintain cGDP documentation and SOP compliance, ensuring right first time.
  • Handle safety procedures and basic equipment maintenance.

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking innovative and highly motivated Laboratory Analysts for a 12-month contract role with a premier Molecular and Diagnostics company in Lodi, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity for recent Life Science graduates or individuals with GMP manufacturing experience to gain hands‑on experience in a high‑paced, state‑of‑the‑art production laboratory.

Pay & Shift Schedules
  • Day Shift: $26.00/hr

  • Swing Shift: $28.08/hr (includes shift differential)

  • Duration: 12-Month Contract

Available Schedules (10-hour shifts):
  • Shift 1: Sun–Wed | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Shift 2: Wed–Sat | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Shift 3: Sun–Wed | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

  • Shift 4: Wed–Sat | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

The Role: What You’ll Do

As a Laboratory Analyst, you will support the Bulk Buffer, Reagents, and Bead production labs. This is a dynamic, \"hands‑on\" role that combines technical science with active production.

  • Manufacturing & Formulation: Execute bulk buffer formulation, aliquoting, and labeling of reagents.

  • Specialized Production: Operate \"beadulators\" for bead dropping, manage sieving processes, and load/unload lyophilizers (freeze‑dryers).

  • Analytical Testing: Perform critical quality checks including pH, density, conductivity, and UV Spectrophotometry.

  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain \"Right First Time\" (RFT) documentation in accordance with cGDP (Good Documentation Practices) and SOPs .

  • Safety & Maintenance: Work safely with hazardous chemicals, manage inventory, and identify equipment defects or process improvements.

Physical Requirements

This is a very active, physical role within a production environment.

  • Lifting/Moving: Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs consistently throughout a 10-hour shift.

  • Heavy Equipment: Ability to transport materials up to 400 lbs using appropriate machinery or equipment assistance.

  • Stamina: Must be able to stand for several hours and perform repetitive arm/wrist motions.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet one of the following educational/experience tracks:

  • Recent Graduate: BS in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotech, etc.) with 0–1 years of experience.

  • Technical/Associate Degree: AA or Trade Degree with 1–2 years of related lab/manufacturing experience.

  • Experienced Professional: High School Diploma with 2–4 years of related work experience.

Core Skills
  • Ability to strictly follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP , and ISO standards.

  • Strong communication skills; able to understand and execute complex Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Bonus Points: Previous experience with Lyophilizers, Molecular assays, or analytical scales is a plus!
