Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing in Barberton, OH is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard techniques in a regulated environment.

The role involves working with GC, GC-MS, AAS and ICP systems, following SOPs, and maintaining data integrity. Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime as needed; starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field required.
• 1-2 years of laboratory exposure or experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques.
• Applies GMP/GLP as appropriate.
• Operates and maintains instrumentation including GC, GC-MS, AAS, ICP.
• Washes glassware and handles samples and data accurately.

Job Description

Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for a Analyst to join our team at the Barberton, OH site.

The Laboratory Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and environmental protection methodology in compliance with Eurofins programs and standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Aliquots and weighs samples
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field preferred
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• 1-2 years of previous laboratory exposure or experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Additional Information

Position will be Monday- Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed.

Pay Range: Starting at $18.00/hr- $20.00 based on experience.
