An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join their team. This role involves obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages, maintaining laboratory supplies, and ensuring a clean work environment. ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services in southern Michigan and Ohio. As a national leader in the treatment of heart attack, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care, ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is also a pacesetter in Michigan for obstetrics, emergency care, intensive care, infection control, and organ donation.
Under supervision and according to established policies, procedures, and detailed instructions, performs a variety of duties such as:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills: Completion of a formal phlebotomy program or previous relevant experience demonstrating proficiency in phlebotomy. Ability to interact effectively and draw blood from patients of all ages, including newborns and the elderly. Basic computer skills for using in-house and departmental systems.
Experience: 1 to 3 months of on-the-job training to familiarize with department and hospital procedures.
