Job summary

Tulane University is seeking a Laboratory Aide 2 to support the department with administrative and research tasks within a laboratory setting.

The role involves handling equipment, preparing samples, assisting with safety paperwork, and data entry, among other duties. Selected candidates will be current Tulane students, with potential for Federal Work Study involvement, and a preference for prior lab exposure.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Tulane University student.
• Federal Work Study Award may be available.
• Enrollment in a relevant class or course of study may apply.
• Prior or current experience in a laboratory is a plus.
• Experience in another lab position is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab equipment.
• Preparing solutions and samples for research purposes.
• Assisting with safety paperwork.
• Cleaning the laboratory.
• Receiving packages and materials.
• Processing lab findings and data entry.
• Compiling instrument usage records.
• Interacting with researchers, test subjects, and/or patients.
• Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks.
