Job summary

Mondelez International Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Planner to develop and maintain accurate production schedules that balance service levels, inventory targets and costs across the United States manufacturing network.

You will collaborate with planning, commercial teams and external manufacturers to optimize inventory and drive continuous improvement using SAP and IBP tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in production and materials planning, demand planning, inventory management, Line Operations, and/or Forecasting.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/SAP systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; strong collaboration and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality production plans based on DSRP recommendations to balance inventory, cost and service level.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure schedules meet demand and standards.
• Build capability in SAP planning systems and support IBP preparation and dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement of scheduling procedures and processes, reducing errors and increasing efficiency.
• Provide action plans to improve work processes and quota management to avoid misses due to labor shortages.

You will take pride in producing accurate and quality production schedules which account for servicelevel targets, inventory targets, plant resources and costs optimization. You will drive continuous improvement ofpeople and processes across the planning and vendor scheduling functions. You will be the primary contactfor MFG leadership, planning & commercial teams, external manufacturers and international supply chain formanagement of inventory and production planning.

How you will contribute

You will:

• Make Quality production plan based on DSRP recommendations, Pre-SOP & other knownactivities in order to achieve appropriate balance between inventory, cost and customer service level. Driverescheduling / recovery of misses with Department Mangers. Communicate about all run out plans to plant.(allowing for appropriate capacity / labor decisions); Achieve stock build targets. Labor variances notadversely effected due to planning activity. Provide direction to other planner & Vendor Schedulers on howto address forthcoming events, Including new product introduction, capacity constraints, and lineshutdowns. Direct involvement in the production scheduling process in order to ensure optimum stockholdings. Regular Maintenance and Housekeeping of data to ensure Prism is making validrecommendations.
• Work effectively with internal & external stakeholders (serviceproviders, contract employee Labor agencies, co-Packing/ externalMfg.vendors) to ensure Productioncompliance to schedules based on demand in accordance to our standards, procedures and protocols.Proactively and timely report & resolve any issues to pre-empt any business impact and/or accommodatechanges to production and/or customer service levels as appropriateafter alignment of all stakeholders.
• Build capability mastery on SAP planning systems. Manage inventory to KPI targets. Support IBP preparation and metric dashboard. Adhere to manufacturing and regulatory compliance standards/regulations. Leverage IL6S standard work process and own one or more of the pillar systems/processes. Participate in projects that drive value and loss elimination.
• Drive continuous improvement with Snr Planner of scheduling procedures and processes maximizing use ofcurrent technology & challenging current procedures in order to simplify the planning process and reducepossibility of errors
• Provide action plans for work processes & procedures to be improved & documented.Recommend shift quota changes through Pre Sop process with root cause analysis. Continuousimprovement of tracking of work force requirements & Quota’s with regular updates to achieve No Missesdue to labor shortages or inappropriate Quota’s.

• Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & experience in ERP (SAP) systems

ducation / Certifications:

• Completed High School Diploma/GED -required
• Associate’s Degree from a college or university, or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience -required
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus

Job specific requirements:

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Strong computer (MS Office) and MS Excel
• Communication Skills (Oral and Written)
• Ability to work daily and weekend overtime (Saturday and Sunday)
• Experience identifying staffing needs, scheduling, coverages.
• Experience working in unionized environment’s is a plus.
• Have experience working in a manufacturing setting is a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $56,200 to $77,275; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
