Position Summary

We are seeking a Labor Relations Specialist with strong union experience, ideally with SEIU 32BJ or similar, to join our Human Resources team. This role plays a critical part in developing, managing, and maintaining strong labor relations strategies across multiple states. The successful candidate will support employee relations, contract administration, grievance processes, and collective bargaining efforts, while promoting a positive and legally compliant labor environment. This is a remote opportunity. Ideal candidate should reside in Georgia, Texas or New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for union representatives, especially with 32BJ and other relevant labor unions.
  • Provide guidance to field leadership on interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
  • Support labor contract negotiations, including research, proposal drafting, and strategy alignment.
  • Investigate and respond to grievances and union complaints in a timely, professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with labor-related laws and regulations, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
  • Partner with HR and operations teams on labor-related training and policy interpretation.
  • Prepare for and participate in arbitrations, hearings, and labor disputes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of union activity, grievances, and outcomes.
  • Monitor trends and provide recommendations to reduce labor disputes and foster collaboration.
  • Assist with onboarding new accounts and transitions where union labor is present.
  • Translate HR communications and documents as needed (Spanish/English).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a labor relations or employee relations role, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience working with SEIU 32BJ or similar unions is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10–15%) for contract negotiations, investigations, or site support.
  • Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000/year
