Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia seeks a Labor Relations Partner to provide expert guidance on union strategy, CBAs, grievances, and labor law compliance. You will align labor relations with business objectives and lead negotiations and arbitrations as needed.

You will partner with HRBPs and leadership to analyze grievances and trends, develop mitigation plans, and manage NLRA/NLRB considerations across the enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5 years of relative HR experience.
  • Labor Law & NLRA Expertise.
  • CBA Interpretation & Arbitration Preparation.
  • Negotiation Strategy & Collective Bargaining.
  • Labor-Management Relationship Building.
  • Regulatory & NLRB Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the enterprise expert in labor relations, advising leadership on union strategy, labor risk, and contract interpretation.
  • Administer and interpret CBAs, ensuring consistent application across business units.
  • Lead the grievance process from intake through arbitration, including investigation and case strategy.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for collective bargaining, including data analysis and MOUs.
  • Serve as primary liaison for union representatives, building effective labor-management relationships.
  • Manage unfair labor practice charges and NLRB matters, coordinating with Legal.
  • Ensure just cause standard in disciplinary actions within unionized environments.
  • Provide guidance on labor law compliance (NLRA, WARN Act, etc.).
  • Analyze labor relations data to identify issues and bargaining priorities.
  • Develop and monitor mitigation plans for repeat LR issues in partnership with HRBPs.
  • Support organizational changes by assessing labor implications of restructuring.
