You will oversee daily labor relations operations and supervise the Labor Relations Specialist, ensuring consistent interpretation and application of agreements and effective dispute resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in labor relations or related field is required.
  • 5 years of labor relations experience in a unionized healthcare setting is required.
  • Experience with collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration processes is required.
  • Master's degree or JD is preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is preferred.

The Labor Relations Manager is responsible for leading and executing the organization's labor relations strategy within a highly unionized, complex healthcare system. This role serves as the primary subject-matter expert on collective bargaining agreements, grievance administration, labor negotiations, and union-management relations across multiple bargaining units.

The Labor Relations Manager provides strategic counsel to senior leadership, Human Resources, and operational leaders on labor matters; ensures consistent interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements; and leads the daily labor relations function. This role has direct functional leadership responsibility for a Labor Relations Specialist and plays a critical role in labor strategy, contract administration, and dispute resolution.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field Required
  • Master's Degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or related field or Juris Doctor Degree Preferred
Experience
  • 5 years experience in labor relations, preferably in a unionized healthcare environment Required
  • Previous Experience working with internal and external union representatives and supporting the collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration processes Required
  • Previous experience in healthcare or large, multi-site organization Preferred
Licenses
  • Prof in Human Resources Preferred or
  • SHRM - CP Preferred
  • Sr Prof in Human Resources Preferred or
  • SHRM - SCP Preferred
