Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries in Wisconsin is seeking a Labor Recruiter to connect qualified candidates with open positions across our operations. You will interview, screen, and guide candidates through the hiring process, coordinating with hiring managers and supporting onboarding to ensure a smooth start.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in recruiting or HR, an associate degree, and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, or related role
  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Basic knowledge of application tracking systems and Human Resources policies and best practices
  • A positive, can-do attitude!
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the business to understand staffing needs and positions.
  • Meet with candidates; review HR interview/work history/availability and coordinate with hiring managers.
  • Review applications and refer qualified candidates to managers for interviews.
  • Complete HR interviews for walk-in candidates and arrange tours/interviews.

Summary

Join Ashley Furniture – the World’s Largest Furniture Manufacturer – as a Labor Recruiter where you'll be the vital link between talented candidates and their next career opportunity. In this dynamic role, you'll interview and match qualified candidates with open positions across our operations, coordinating interviews with hiring managers and guiding successful candidates through the onboarding process. Using your networking skills, creativity, and knowledge of social media recruiting, you'll source top talent while ensuring each candidate finds the right fit. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the business to gain an understanding of current and anticipated staffing needs and positions.
  • Meet with scheduled candidates; review their HR interview, work history and availability. Determine which open position(s) the candidate is suitable for and send out on business interview/tour with hiring manager. If not selected, may send out to additional interviews/tours.
  • Review employment applications and requisitions to match applicants with job requirements and refer qualified job applicants to managers for interviews and tours.
  • Complete HR interviews for walk-in candidates. If the candidate successfully completes the interview, send out on business interview/tour.
  • Update candidate in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) through all steps in the process. Process offers to candidates ensuring they have all details on positions, pay, hours, orientation and start date.
  • Complete and process all hiring-related paperwork in a timely manner. Post on free sites such as state job service, school and social media sites, where not posted by third-party recruiting advertising agency.
  • Effectively source qualified job candidates via computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, employment referrals, etc.
  • Remain active on social media forums and employ other creative methods that reach potential candidates.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

Work Environment

This position is located in a climate-controlled office environment with standard lighting and moderate noise levels typical of professional workspace settings. The role primarily involves sitting at a desk for extended periods while working with computers, phones, and other office equipment. The collaborative environment includes interaction with team members and may require attendance at meetings, conference calls, and cross-departmental communications during regular business hours.
