Job summary

The California Nurses Association (CNA)/National Nurses Organizing Committee (NNOC)/National Nurses United (NNU) seeks a Labor Representative in San Francisco, CA to build nurse power and organize shop floor campaigns. You will mobilize members, develop leaders, and support contract negotiations while promoting safe patient care.

Ideal candidates have organizing experience, strong communication, and the ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, to meet campaign needs.

Qualifications

• Organizing experience and campaign planning required.
• Experience engaging membership participation and developing leaders.
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports for campaigns.
• Willingness for long, irregular hours including nights/weekends.
• Commitment to social change and organizational vision.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand the nurse network and leadership.
• Develop campaign plans and mobilize members around issues.
• Maintain relationships with nurse leaders and organize actions.
• Support contract negotiations and grievances processing.
• Travel to worksites and attend to campaign needs; flexible schedule.
