Job summary

JCJC Construction is seeking a hands-on laborer to assist with site preparation, cleanup and material handling on residential/commercial projects in Hattiesburg, MS.

You will support skilled trades, operate basic tools, assemble temporary structures, and help ensure safety protocols, PPE usage, and orderly work zones.

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation: Set up sawhorses, extension cords, compressors, scaffolding, and other equipment.
• Site Cleanup: Remove debris and hazards; dig trenches; backfill holes; compact earth for safety.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, transport, and position construction materials as required.
• Assistance to Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople.
• Tool Operation: Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
• Temporary Structures: Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, bracing, and shoring systems.
• Safety and Traffic Control: Install barriers, direct traffic, and follow PPE protocols.
