Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a Labor Foreman to lead daily earthwork operations on heavy civil projects in Florida. You will supervise field crews, coordinate workforce and equipment, and ensure safety and quality to meet schedules.

You will read drawings and specifications, manage productivity, coach workers, resolve issues, and maintain project records. A Florida driver’s license and willingness to work extended hours are required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in heavy highway construction with knowledge of grade, slope, drainage and ability to read plans.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Strong knowledge of workforce planning, scheduling, and production management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Clean Florida driver’s license.

The Labor Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily labor operations in a heavy civil, highway, bridge, and infrastructure construction environment. This position provides leadership to labor crews, coordinates workforce and equipment needs, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and supports successful completion of project schedules and production goals. The Labor Foreman exercises independent judgment in directing field operations, resolving issues, and managing crew performance.

Job Requirements

• Must possess three (3) to five (5) years in heavy highway construction with knowledge of project construction scope and objectives to include, but not limited to grade, slope, reading and understanding plans, and drainage
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications for the project
• Must possess strong knowledge of workforce planning, scheduling, and production management.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to apply effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Must possess excellent time management skills
• Must possess a clean Florida driver’s license

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, push, pull, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work around heavy equipment, construction traffic, and active jobsites.
• Ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, based on project requirements.
