Position Title: Labor Foreman
Department: Field Operations
Supervisor: Finish Superintendent
Location: Athens, AL

Essential Job Functions:

1. Install silt fence on various job sites according to specifications
2. Complete general labor tasks such as laying sod, unrolling straw mats, blowing hay, spreading seed, pressure washing, and other tasks as needed
3. Correct and document any ADEM issues or fixes
4. Coordinate with the Warehouse Superintendent to obtain all necessary materials and supplies
5. Willing and able to operate all heavy construction equipment as needed
6. Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and procedure planning
7. Provide complete supervision and responsibility for the job site field operations
8. Submit time and attendance for all employees on the crew
9. Calculate and enter production quantities, cost, and documentation
10. Proactively plan, schedule, and coordinate work each day including scheduling trucks, equipment, and tools
11. Locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment
12. Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
13. Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
14. Solve problems and provide possible solutions in a timely manner
15. Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
16. Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
17. Ensure all crew members follow all safety rules and regulations at all times
18. Train and develop crew members as necessary
19. Perform other duties as assigned
20. Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

1. 2+ years of general labor experience preferred
2. Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
3. Must be physically able to periodically lift 75 pounds
4. Knowledge of OSHA Standards
5. Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred but not required
6. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
7. Available to work all weekdays, weekends, and hours as needed
8. Committed to attending work each day
9. Requires personal transportation to job sites
10. Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
11. Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR
12. Current Employees: 95% or higher attendance rating
