Labor & Employment Litigation Associate – Los Angeles

Burke is seeking a motivated associate attorney for its Los Angeles office to join the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. Must have employment litigation experience in single-plaintiff cases and excellent writing skills. Experience with PAGA and class action is a plus, but not required.

Compensation for associates at Burke ranges from $140,000 – $215,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidates’ years of practice and experience.

The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement option and an annual telecommute budget to support remote work. The firm’s billable hour requirement is 1850. Attorneys receive competitive health insurance benefits, a 401(k) with a partial match, and are eligible for annual discretionary and billable hour bonuses.

Burke is committed to a culture of inclusion. New associates are assigned to an “Associate Buddy” to assist with their transition to Burke. Our robust DEI Committee runs a Mentor Circles program that helps attorneys navigate through the firm and provides connection and enrichment opportunities, an Education Program that hosts periodic trainings, and a Civic Engagement Program that connects Burke attorneys with civic groups in the communities where we practice law.

Burke’s pro bono program affords attorneys opportunities to contribute in ways that are most meaningful to them both personally and professionally by giving associates billable credit for up to 40 hours of pro bono work.

Burke also supports attorneys’ business development goals by providing each associate with a yearly budget for attendance at continuing legal education and conferences.

Burke values integrity, inclusion, diversity, professional growth, and personal fulfillment for everyone working at our firm. We encourage all interested candidates to apply by emailing a cover letter, resume, references, and writing sample to recruiting@bwslaw.com. EOE.
