Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking staff to provide direct patient care and unit clerical support in the Adult Obstetrics Labor and Delivery Unit. Under the direction of a Clinical Nurse, you will help schedule tests, maintain patient records, manage supplies, and assist the patient care team.

A High School Diploma or GED and basic computer skills are required, with knowledge of medical terminology and infection control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Requires acute patient care experience or completion of IU Health PCA education program.
• BLS certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and unit clerical duties within the Adult Obstetrics Labor and Delivery Unit in Bloomington.
• Administers care under the direction of a Clinical Nurse and supports the patient care team.
• Ensures a clean and orderly environment for the patient.
• Schedules tests and procedures, maintains patient records, and manages supplies for the patient care team.
• May provide continuous observation including suicide prevention.
