Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks a Unit Clerk to support Labor & Delivery. You will handle clerical tasks, coordinate communications, and assist with patient care coordination on the day shift.

The position requires basic high school education plus clerical duties; per diem tier III availability with weekend coverage is noted. Onsite work at St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent required.
• Experience with clerical tasks or medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors, patients, families and physicians and directs them appropriately.
• Answers the telephone, directs calls, takes messages, and delivers to the appropriate person.
• Maintains communication resources and on-call schedules.
• Answers patients’ call lights and assists promptly.
• Prepares charts for new admissions and ensures forms are in the chart.
• Places lab results and other documentation in patient charts.
