Holy Cross Health seeks a Labor and Delivery Technician to support obstetric teams in a busy Silver Spring facility. You will assist with patient care, set up respiratory and cardiac equipment, and help maintain sterile conditions to ensure safe labor and delivery.

The role requires CNA certification in Maryland and BLS, with opportunities for professional growth in a renowned, Catholic health system serving the DC metro area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as a nursing assistant by the Maryland State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provides hygiene, mobility, and procedural care across various age groups.
• Proficient in setting up and using respiratory and cardiac equipment.
• Utilizes aseptic techniques for various procedures, maintaining isolation standards.
• Assists Anesthesiologist with epidural and spinal anesthesia placement.
• Maintains anesthesia supplies, equipment, and cleanliness in patient areas.
• Orders and stocks routine and specialized supplies.
• Monitors vital signs and reports to RN for various patient populations.
• Other duties as assigned
