Job summary

AP Health is seeking a highly experienced Physician Assistant or Surgical Assistant to join our team in the greater Nashville area for a night shift. This role is strictly surgical with no clinic time, focusing on perioperative first assist duties.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years' first assist experience in labor and delivery, a current state license or NCCPA certification, board certification by NCCPA, and active BLS/ACLS. Comprehensive benefits including ESOP and 401K are offered.

• Current state license or national surgical assistant certification.
• Board certified by NCCPA.
• Active BLS and ACLS.
• Experience as a surgical first assistant in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room.
• Positions and drapes the patient under the surgeon's direction.
• Suturing and retracting tissue layers.
