Job summary
St. Michaels Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the Family Birth Center, including labor & delivery, postpartum care, and newborn assessment.
You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered obstetric services. The role emphasizes maternal-fetal assessment, pain management, and post-surgical care, with opportunities for ongoing education, certification, and career growth within a large health
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- One to two years Med/Surg experience with Mother/Baby Education program or a New graduate with senior practicum in L&D.
- Registered Nurse: WA license upon hire.
- Current BLS certification; quarterly RQI competency required post-hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Conducts Maternal-Fetal Assessment.
- Provides nursing support to laboring patients with analgesia and comfort measures.
- Stabilizes and transitions the normal newborn at delivery.
- Circulates for Cesarean Sections.
- Cares for the post-surgical patient.
