Job summary

UVA Community Health seeks a Registered Nurse in Labor Delivery to lead the healthcare team and provide individualized nursing care. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans promoting optimal health outcomes for patients in Culpeper and surrounding areas.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree, current RN licensure, and CPI certification within the first three months for select units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• RN licensure in applicable state required.
• CPI certification within three months of hire required for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic nursing skills, multitask, and administer medications safely.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and coordinate patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions.
• Document care and communicate with the care team.
• Respond to emergencies including CPR.
