Wesley Medical Center, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery on a PRN basis in Wichita, Kansas. The unit handles high-risk cases and delivers about 350 babies monthly, offering a dynamic team environment and opportunities for professional growth.

The role requires active RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, and NRP within specified onboarding periods, with a commitment to high standards of patient-centered care and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure and status as Registered Nurse.
• RN Diploma or Bachelors/Associate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care per Wesley Medical Center standards.
• Evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and participate in quality improvement.
• Maintain current knowledge in nursing practice and education.
• Monitor patient progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team for optimal care.
• Ensure safe and cost-effective delivery of patient care.
• Respect patient autonomy and ethical decision making.
• Contribute to department operations and communication.
