Job summary

Andalusia Health in Andalusia, AL seeks a Registered Nurse in Women’s Services to provide obstetric, labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care in a high‑volume unit. You will use the nursing process to ensure safety and quality care, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has an ADN (BSN preferred), current RN license, BLS, NRP, ACLS, and experience with fetal monitoring.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the obstetrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans for mothers and infants.
• Monitors fetal heart tones, vital signs, and patient status throughout labor and postpartum.
• Administers medications, performs procedures, and assists physicians with exams and deliveries.
• Educates patients and families on postpartum care, infant care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions.
• Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participates in emergency response situations, including neonatal resuscitation and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and facilitate discharge planning.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment in infection control standards.
• Participates in staff training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
