Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, AL is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN to provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. You will monitor fetal status, assist with deliveries, administer medications, and educate families in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires RN licensure in Alabama or a compact state, BLS/NRP/ACLS, and 6 months of L&D experience. Team collaboration, strong communication, and EMR proficiency are essential for success.

Qualificações

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license or compact state equivalent required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring competency or training required within policy timelines.
• RNC-OB certification preferred.
• Minimum six months of RN experience in labor and delivery or postpartum care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, monitor vitals and fetal status.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care including cesarean sections when necessary.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum, breastfeeding and newborn care.
• Assist with newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists and care team.
• Document care accurately and timely in EMR.
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and families.
• Maintain infection control and a safe, organized environment.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff training initiatives.
