Job summary

Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care on a night shift. You will work within the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role involves administering medications, responding to emergencies, educating patients and families, and adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure in good standing (state or compact) required
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects per standards.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code and life-saving activities as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
