Qualifications

• BSN preferred and acute care experience preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• AHA-BLS/ARC-BLS certification required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required.
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and patient care needs.
• Develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Implements the plan of care, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe and healthy environment.
• Evaluates patient progress toward achieving expected outcomes.
• Identifies expected outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.
• Provides education and learning opportunities for patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Communicates health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates responsibilities appropriately and coordinates the activities of healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
