HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate obstetric care in a collaborative, patient-centered model. The role includes data collection, safety advocacy, and involvement in routine deliveries and Cesarean sections, with strong emphasis on teamwork and education for patients and families.

Required Florida RN license and acute care experience; NIH Stroke Scale, BCLS, ACLS, and Neonatal resuscitation credentials must be obtained within specified

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
• Evaluate obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise mother or fetus.
• Participate in routine delivery as well as planned or emergent Cesarean sections.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments, and support families.
