Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our team for a 13-week contract in New York. You will provide care for laboring patients, monitor fetal status, and support families through the birthing process.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in L&D, active RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/NRP. Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with some weekend coverage; experience with oxytocin/magnesium/insulin drips is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.
EFM certification preferred (through NCC or Advanced Fetal Monitoring).
Active RN license required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to laboring women, including assessment and monitoring of fetal heart rates.
Administer medications and IV fluids, including titration of Oxytocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drips as necessary.
Assist with C-sections and recover patients in the postpartum unit.
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and pediatric staff to ensure best patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process as well as postpartum care.
