Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for the Riverview/St Josephs South campus on the night shift. This part-time role supports obstetric care in a busy hospital setting, applying nursing assessment and care planning to patient needs.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure safety, and deliver compassionate maternal-newborn care while upholding clinical standards and patient education.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP preferred; ADN required.
• At least 6 months RN Labor & Delivery experience; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and update plans of care.
• Identify risks and prepare the patient environment for procedures.

Position Description: RN - Labor & Delivery

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
