Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's South in a full-time role. The incumbent will provide comprehensive nursing care in a Labor & Delivery unit, working a 6:45AM - 7:15PM shift with every-other weekend work and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications include an RN license, BLS, NRP, and an Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred). At least 6 months of RN Labor & Delivery experience required; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.

• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury and prepares room environment.

Registered Nurse Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Labor & Delivery Unit - SJS
• Location: St. Joseph's South
• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:45AM - 7:15PM
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: Yes

The Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.
• Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

Required Certification/Licensures:

• Registered Nurse license

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Required Education:

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing- Preferred

Required Experience:

• Registered Nurse license
• At least 6 months RN Labor & Delivery experience
• At least 1 year of RN Labor & Delivery experience is strongly preferred
