Job summary

UPMC invites applications for a Patient & Family Concierge role. You will warmly greet patients and families, provide directions, escort to destinations, and support environmental services, dietary, transport, and supply management throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or enrollment in HS/GED program
• One year of prior job experience is acceptable in lieu of HS diploma/GED
• Previous health care or customer service experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families and provides directions and escort assistance.
• Maintains cleanliness and stock in assigned areas following procedures.
• Assembles meals and ensures food safety and proper service to patients and visitors.
• Transports patients and equipment between units and treatment centers with care and accuracy.
• Set up telehealth carts and assist with telehealth visits when scheduled.
• Responds to call lights and supports nursing staff while maintaining infection control procedures.
• Adheres to UPMC values and communicates patient portal information to users.
