Job summary

Ascension Health in Nashville, TN seeks a part-time Labor and Delivery RN to oversee patient care, coordinate disciplines, and execute physician and nursing orders. This role supports discharge planning and patient care coordination.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of hire; accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire; accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (AAP) obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credential in Tennessee or compact-state license prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the health care team.
