Job summary
HCA Florida Trinity Hospital in Florida seeks a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide expert clinical care in a high-acuity Women’s Services unit. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the future of nursing.
Responsibilities include assessing and planning care for laboring patients, assisting deliveries (including C-sections), teaching patients about medications and treatment, maintaining accurate records, and administering medications
Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or hold an appropriate compact license with active FL RN within 60 days.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications required or within specified timeline.
- Experience in acute care settings strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for laboring patients.
- Assist in delivery, including C-sections.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment.
- Maintain and review patients' records, posting tests and results.
- Administer medications per physician orders.
