Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing required.
• One year of Nursing/Patient Care in an acute care setting is required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required or, Compact State Licensure in Nursing required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications encouraged for designated units.

Responsibilities

• Across all levels, the registered professional nurse is responsible for direct and indirect total nursing care of assigned patients.
• RN is also responsible for supervision of assigned personnel and adherence to policies.
• Ability to retrieve, communicate or present information effectively in written, auditory or visual formats.
