This is labor protection investigative work, receiving and responding to informational inquiries, conducting compliance investigations, delivering written findings, and issuing violations when applicable under the law related to wages and benefits in the City of Philadelphia Department of Labor. Employees in this class address internal relations regarding benefits and wage compliance with City departments and external businesses. Employees support outreach and communication efforts to stakeholders to ensure compliance with Philadelphia Labor Ordinances. Work is performed under the direction of an administrative superior.
EDUCATION:
Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
AND
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of experience in investigations, labor relations, labor organizing, providing legal assistance, paralegal support, or case management experience, which has included responsibility for conducting research and writing reports or drafting legal documents.
NOTE: Additional experience as outlined above may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
NOTE: Completion of a master’s degree or juris doctor degree may substitute for two years of the required experience.
