Position Overview

Perform grounds maintenance activities such as grass cutting, edging, trimming, pruning, and limited landscaping. Support our mission to change lives through the power of work.

Responsibilities

1. Cut grass using a push mower according to specific requirements.
2. Remove grass clippings, trash, and debris from the work site; dispose of trash properly.
3. Use grass/weed trimmers in areas inaccessible to mowers, such as slopes or ditches.
4. Operate backpack blowers to clear surfaces.
5. Trim hedges, shrubs, and edge sidewalks, curbs, and parking lots.
6. Maintain fence lines and remove vines as needed.
7. Clean tools, work areas, and vehicles; perform basic equipment maintenance.
8. Follow safety protocols, wear safety equipment, and operate equipment safely.
9. Provide excellent customer service by assisting and responding professionally to inquiries.

Requirements

• Experience: 6+ months in grounds maintenance or related work; familiarity with landscaping tools.
• Skills: Reading comprehension, conflict resolution, and evaluation skills.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
• Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of education, experience, or military training.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
