W3Global in Houston is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with a strong focus on Employee Benefits. A JD and active Texas Bar are required, along with 6+ years in Labor & Employment with ERISA experience.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, retirement and health plans, and experience advising on compliance and policy issues. The role involves drafting and negotiating employment and benefit plan documents, handling disputes with EEOC, DOL, and NLRB,

Qualifications

• Must have JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar admission required.
• 6+ years of Labor & Employment experience with Employee Benefits/ERISA focus.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and deferred compensation.

Responsibilities

• Advise on employment compliance, workplace policies, wage & hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
• Draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, non-competes, and benefit plan documents.
• Handle employment disputes, litigation, negotiations, and regulatory matters with EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
• Advise on executive compensation and nonqualified deferred compensation where applicable.

• Experience handling employment disputes, litigation, negotiations, and regulatory matters involving EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
• Ability to draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, non-competes, and benefit plan documents.
• Experience with executive compensation and nonqualified deferred compensation preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and client-management skills.
• In-house counsel experience is a plus.
