Job summary

Dannik Woliver Kelley is seeking an attorney to join its Labor, Employment and Personnel Practice Group to support education-related public entities in California. The firm represents school and community college districts statewide, with offices in Long Beach and San Diego.

Qualified candidates will have labor and employment experience, investigative or administrative hearing background, and CA Bar admission. Salary ranges from $130,000 to $165,000 plus comprehensive benefits.

• Experience with labor negotiations.
• Public entity representation preferred but not required; school district representation a plus.
• Admission to the California State Bar is required.

Job description

Mid‑sized education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an attorney to join its Labor, Employment and Personnel Practice Group. Qualifications

• Labor, employment and personnel experience
• Prior experience conducting investigations and/or administrative hearings
• Experience with the Educational Employment Relations Act or similar labor relations statute (preferred)
• Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
• Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
• Experience with labor negotiations
• Public entity representation is preferred but not required; prior school district representation is a plus
• Admission to the California State Bar

Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with both California’s Fair Chance Act (FCA) and local Fair Chance Ordinances (FCOs).

The annual salary range the firm reasonably expects to pay is $130,000 to $165,000. The final annual salary will depend on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
